Venice is one of those places that feels like a dream. With its romantic canals, historic buildings, charming squares and unique atmosphere, it’s a destination that truly captures the heart.
For us, Venice was about more than just seeing the famous sights. It was wandering through hidden alleys, taking a gondola ride, enjoying a coffee by the water and simply getting lost in the beauty of the city.

Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds and a more relaxed atmosphere. Summer is beautiful too, but the city can get very busy.
San Marco is perfect if you want to be close to the main sights, while Dorsoduro and Cannaregio offer a quieter and more authentic experience. Both areas are great for exploring.
St. Mark’s Square, a gondola ride, the Rialto Bridge, and a visit to Murano and Burano are all worth experiencing. But don’t forget to leave time to simply wander and discover the quieter corners of Venice.
Take your time, slow down and enjoy the little moments. Venice is not a place to rush — spend time wandering the streets, stopping for coffee and watching the boats go by. Some of the best memories happen when you have nowhere to be.
Venice quickly became one of those places where getting lost was part of the experience. From our first walk through the narrow streets to quiet evenings by the canals, every day brought something new to discover and another reason to slow down.
We loved wandering without a plan, finding little cafés, watching gondolas pass by and simply enjoying the feeling of being somewhere so completely different. Sometimes the best moments were the ones we never planned.
